Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chopped apples

  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mix, stirring gently until just combined. Then, fold in the chopped apples.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  5. Using a spoon, carefully drop small mounds of the batter into the hot oil.
  6. Fry the fritters until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  7. Remove them and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  8. Dust generously with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes
