Baked Eggs Napoleon

A delightful dish featuring eggs nestled between layers of buttery, flaky pastry, perfect for brunch or dinner.

  • Flaky pastry
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Cream
  • 1 cup Cheese (Gruyère or Parmesan)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • Herbs (chives or parsley)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the flaky pastry and cut it into squares to fit the ramekins. Place the pastry in the bottom of each ramekin.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, cream, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the pastry in each ramekin, filling them to the brim.
  5. Generously sprinkle cheese and herbs on top of each ramekin.
  6. Bake in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the pastry is golden brown.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy the delightful flavors!

Notes

Experiment with different cheese varieties or add sautéed spinach or caramelized onions for additional flavor.
