Delicious flaky croissants filled with savory ham and melted cheese, perfect for brunch or as a snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 mini croissants
  • 4 slices smoked cheddar cheese, halved
  • ¾ pound deli-cut ham
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large egg white
  • Poppy seeds, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish lightly.
  2. Slice each mini croissant in half horizontally.
  3. On the bottom half of each croissant, layer half a slice of cheddar cheese.
  4. Add a slice of ham and top with another half slice of cheese.
  5. Close the sandwiches using the top halves of the croissants.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, yellow mustard, honey, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until smooth.
  7. Spread this mixture evenly on the inside of each croissant sandwich.
  8. Arrange all the assembled sandwiches in the prepared baking dish.
  9. In another small bowl, whisk the egg white with a splash of water. Brush this egg wash onto the tops of the croissants and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven and serve warm.
