  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Mix together the all-purpose flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  2. Whisk the buttermilk, mashed banana, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  4. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or oil.
  5. Cook your desired amount of batter on the skillet until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until both sides are golden brown.
  6. Serve warm with maple syrup, honey, or your favorite toppings.
