Blueberry Cream Cheese Croissant Casserole

A delightful casserole made with flaky croissants, creamy custard, and fresh blueberries, perfect for brunch gatherings.

  • 4 croissants, torn into pieces
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Optional: blueberry sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until fully combined.
  3. Add the torn croissants to the egg mixture, ensuring they’re thoroughly soaked.
  4. Loosen the softened cream cheese in a separate bowl for easy spreading.
  5. Grease a baking dish and layer the soaked croissant pieces evenly in it.
  6. Spoon the blueberry cream cheese mixture over the croissant layer, then sprinkle the fresh blueberries on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until golden and set.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving and drizzling with optional blueberry sauce.

Notes

For best texture and flavor, consider using day-old croissants. Can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator or frozen.
