Breakfast Egg Casserole

A hearty and delicious breakfast casserole filled with eggs, ham, and cheese, perfect for feeding a crowd during brunch.

  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 slices of bread, cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup diced ham or cooked sausage
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk the eggs and milk in a large bowl until the mixture is smooth.
  3. Add the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well, making sure the seasonings are evenly distributed.
  4. Fold in the cubed bread, cheese, and diced ham or sausage, ensuring everything is coated with the egg mixture.
  5. Pour the combined mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the casserole is set and the top has taken on a light golden color.
  7. Allow the casserole to cool slightly before serving for the best texture.

Notes

For an even fluffier casserole, add a splash of cream or sour cream to the egg mixture. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days.
