Chinese Chicken

A quick and flavorful Chinese chicken dish with vibrant vegetables, perfect for busy weeknights.

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the chicken pieces with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Allow it to marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Stir-fry the minced garlic briefly until fragrant.
  4. Add the marinated chicken and cook until it turns golden brown.
  5. Toss in the bell pepper, broccoli, and sliced carrot. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet crisp.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then garnish with green onions, and serve hot!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat in a skillet over low heat.
