Cinnamon French Toast Sticks

Delicious Cinnamon French Toast Sticks that transform a simple breakfast into a nostalgic treat for all ages.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces thickly sliced toast
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk (evaporated or any non-dairy alternative)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4-5 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/21 tablespoon cinnamon powder
  • Butter (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Cut away the crusts from each slice of toast, then slice them into sticks about an inch thick.
  2. Whisk together the eggs, milk, and salt in a medium bowl until well combined.
  3. Mix the sugar and cinnamon for coating the sticks on a separate plate.
  4. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Dip each toast stick into the egg-milk mixture, coating all sides and allowing excess to drip off.
  6. Place the coated sticks in the hot pan without overcrowding, frying until golden brown on all sides. Turn occasionally for even cooking.
  7. Transfer the cooked sticks to the cinnamon-sugar mix and roll to coat evenly.
  8. Serve warm and repeat the process with any remaining sticks.
