Cinnamon Roll French Toast

A delightful breakfast treat combining warm cinnamon rolls with rich custardy French toast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cinnamon rolls
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • Butter for frying
  • Powdered sugar for glaze
  • Milk for glaze

Instructions

  1. Start by slicing each cinnamon roll into halves or quarters.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Dip each cinnamon roll piece into the egg mixture, making sure they’re fully coated.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add butter and let it melt.
  5. Carefully place the coated cinnamon roll pieces in the skillet. Fry for about 2-3 minutes per side, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  6. For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar with a splash of milk until you achieve a smooth, drizzleable consistency.
  7. Drizzle the glaze over the warm French toast and serve immediately.

Notes

This dish is great for using up leftover cinnamon rolls. Serve with fresh fruit or maple syrup for extra flavor.
