Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll-Ups

  • 3 tbsp butter, softened
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (for filling)
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (for coating)
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Flatten the bread.
  2. Mix the filling in a bowl with softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Spread the filling evenly over each slice of bread.
  4. Roll each slice into a tight log.
  5. Prepare the egg mixture by whisking eggs and milk together.
  6. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and add butter.
  7. Dip each roll-up into the egg mixture.
  8. Cook the roll-ups in the skillet for 2-3 minutes per side.
  9. Finish by rolling cooked roll-ups in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
  10. Serve topped with powdered sugar or maple syrup.

Notes
