Classic Breakfast Hashbrown Casserole

A delightful, comforting dish combining crispy hashbrowns, fluffy eggs, and melty cheddar cheese, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dinner.

  • 4 cups hashbrowns
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Heat the olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the diced onion and sauté until it becomes translucent.
  4. Combine the hashbrowns, eggs, milk, sautéed onion, cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper in a separate large bowl.
  5. Mix everything well until fully combined.
  6. Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes until set and the top is golden brown.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a creamier texture, add a splash of cream to the egg mixture. Frozen hashbrowns can be used; thaw beforehand.
