Classic Breakfast Hashbrown Casserole

A comforting casserole that elevates hashbrowns into a delicious breakfast dish, perfect for busy mornings or leisurely weekends.

  • 1 package frozen hashbrowns
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the frozen hashbrowns with shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, chopped onion, and melted butter.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to your liking and mix until everything is well combined.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbling and the top is a lovely golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a perfect breakfast casserole, thaw the hashbrowns beforehand for even cooking. Consider adding crushed cornflakes or breadcrumbs on top for crunch.
