Cloud Bread

Cloud Bread is a light and airy low-carb alternative to traditional bread, perfect for sandwiches or enjoying with butter.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large eggs, separated
  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 tablespoon honey or sugar (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a clean bowl, beat the egg whites with cream of tartar until they form stiff peaks.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the egg yolks, softened cream cheese, optional honey or sugar, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  4. Carefully fold the stiff egg whites into the yolk mixture in three separate additions, being gentle to maintain airiness.
  5. Spoon the mixture onto the lined baking sheet, forming six equal rounds.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until they turn golden brown and set. Allow them to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Ensure mixing bowls and beaters are grease-free for maximum volume. Feel free to experiment with flavors such as garlic powder or herbs.
