Creamy Cheesy Ground Beef Casserole

A comforting casserole featuring ground beef, creamy mushroom soup, and melty cheese, perfect for busy weeknights.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)
  • 2 cups cooked pasta (elbow macaroni or similar)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onions are translucent. Drain any excess fat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, cooked pasta, and half of the shredded cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top of the casserole.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and the cheese is melted.
  7. If desired, garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
