  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  3. Mash the ripe bananas until they’re smooth in a large bowl.
  4. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
  5. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until everything is blended together.
  6. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture, stirring gently to incorporate them.
  7. Fold in the flour, mixing just until no dry flour remains.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
  9. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, testing for doneness with a toothpick inserted in the center.
  10. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or wrap tightly in plastic wrap and freeze for 2-3 months. Thaw before serving.
