French Toast Waffles

Deliciously crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, French Toast Waffles are a delightful twist on a classic favorite, perfect for brunch or family breakfasts.

  • 1 loaf Challah bread
  • 1 cup 2% milk
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • Butter (for topping)
  • Maple syrup (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Slice the Challah bread into thick pieces, about an inch wide.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and sugar until smooth.
  3. Dunk each slice of bread into the egg mixture, turning to coat well. Let it soak for a minute.
  4. Preheat your waffle iron and grease it if necessary.
  5. Place the soaked bread slices onto the hot iron and cook until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Transfer the finished waffles to a wire rack to keep them crispy.
  7. Serve warm, topped with melted butter and drizzled with maple syrup.

Notes
