Cranberry Goat Cheese Puff Pastry Swirls

Delightful swirls of creamy goat cheese and tart cranberry sauce wrapped in flaky, buttery puff pastry, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 4 oz goat cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until it’s even and flat.
  3. Spread the softened goat cheese evenly over the entire pastry sheet.
  4. Spoon the cranberry sauce on top of the goat cheese, spreading it out gently.
  5. Starting from one side, roll the pastry tightly to form a log.
  6. Slice the log into 1-inch pieces and arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a lovely golden color when baked.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the swirls puff up and turn a beautiful golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and enjoy while warm.

Notes

Feel free to swap the goat cheese with cream cheese or a dairy-free alternative. The cranberry sauce can be replaced with any fruit preserve, like raspberry or fig, for a unique twist. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
