Hawaiian Roll French Toast

A delightful twist on classic French toast using sweet, fluffy Hawaiian rolls.

  • 8 Hawaiian rolls
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Maple syrup, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and sugar until fully combined.
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half. Dip each half into the egg mixture, letting them soak for a moment.
  3. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat until melted and bubbly.
  4. Carefully place the soaked rolls in the skillet. Cook until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Serve warm, topped with a generous drizzle of maple syrup.

Notes

For a lactose-free version, use almond milk. Consider adding powdered sugar or fresh fruits for extra indulgence.
