Korean Ground Beef Bowl

A delightful dish that balances flavor and simplicity with juicy ground beef, garlic, ginger, and soy sauce, served over fluffy rice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • Chopped green onions for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, stirring occasionally.
  2. Once the beef is nicely browned, stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, mixing thoroughly to combine. Allow it to simmer for another 2-3 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  4. Generously serve the beef mixture over your warm cooked rice.
  5. Garnish with chopped green onions and sprinkle sesame seeds on top, if desired.

Notes

For a lighter option, swap ground beef with ground turkey or chicken. Use tamari for gluten-free.
