Quick and healthier homemade bagels packed with protein from Greek yogurt, perfect for breakfast or snacks.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Optional toppings (sesame seeds, everything bagel seasoning)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, Greek yogurt, baking powder, and salt. Stir until a dough begins to form.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface until it’s smooth and elastic.
  4. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape each portion into a bagel, ensuring you create a hole in the center.
  5. Arrange the bagels on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Brush the tops with the beaten egg, then sprinkle on any optional toppings.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bagels are golden brown.
  8. Allow them to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days, or freeze for up to three months.
