Quark Coins with Oatmeal

Delicious and nutritious pancakes made with Magerquark and oats, perfect for breakfast or a light snack.

Ingredients

  • 250 g Magerquark
  • 100 g oats (Haferflocken)
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 g honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Cinnamon (to taste)
  • Oil or butter (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the Magerquark, eggs, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the oats, baking powder, salt, and your chosen amount of cinnamon.
  3. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the quark mixture, stirring until smooth.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly coat with oil or butter.
  5. Scoop small portions of batter onto the skillet using a tablespoon.
  6. Cook each side for approximately 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Once done, let them drain on a kitchen towel before serving warm.

Notes

Serve with Greek yogurt, honey, or fresh fruit. Can be stored in the fridge for up to three days.
