Sausage and Egg Casserole

A hearty and versatile casserole combining fluffy eggs, savory sausage, and gooey cheese, perfect for brunch or dinner.

  • 1 pound sausage
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 2 cups bread cubes (optional)
  • 1 cup chopped vegetables (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until it’s nicely browned and crumbled.
  3. While the sausage is cooking, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined in a separate bowl.
  4. Grease a baking dish and layer in the cooked sausage. If you’re using bread cubes and chopped vegetables, add them now.
  5. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layers in the baking dish.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
  8. Allow the casserole to cool before slicing.

Notes

For a lighter option, use turkey sausage or try incorporating feta cheese for added tang.
