Sausage and Egg Casserole

A comforting and hearty dish perfect for brunch or dinner, featuring sausage, eggs, and cheese baked to perfection.

  • 1 lb sausage (any variety)
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup bread cubes (optional)
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook your sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned, then drain excess fat.
  3. Whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well-combined.
  4. Grease a baking dish and layer the cooked sausage as the base. Add optional bread cubes and mixed vegetables if using.
  5. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the sausage and any optional ingredients.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 30-40 minutes until the eggs are set and cheese is golden.
  8. Cool for a few moments before slicing and serving warm.

Notes

For a healthier option, substitute sausage with turkey variety or plant-based sausage. Customize with your choice of vegetables.
