Sausage and Egg Casserole

A hearty and comforting casserole perfect for brunch, featuring layers of savory sausage, fluffy eggs, and gooey cheese.

  • 1 pound sausage, crumbled
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 2 cups bread cubes (optional)
  • 1 cup chopped vegetables (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the crumbled sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, stirring frequently until browned and crumbly.
  3. Whisk together the eggs and milk in a mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Grease a baking dish. Layer the cooked sausage, optional bread cubes, and any chopped vegetables you choose.
  5. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered ingredients.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  7. Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes, or until set with the cheese bubbly and golden.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving, then cut into squares.
