Delicious and quick Savory Breakfast Rolls packed with sausage and cheese, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled sausage or bacon
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/4 cup chopped bell peppers or onions (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine in a large bowl the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Whisk together the milk, water, and olive oil in another bowl until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined—avoid overmixing!
  5. Carefully fold in your cooked sausage or bacon, cheese, and any optional vegetables.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/2 inch thick.
  7. Cut the rolled dough into squares or rectangles and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown on top.
  9. Serve warm, and enjoy your delightful breakfast!

Notes

For added flavor, consider using garlic powder, Italian herbs, or smoked paprika.
