Savory Protein Biscuits

Quick and nutritious biscuits packed with protein, perfect for breakfast or as a savory snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup protein powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 egg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, protein powder, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Stir in your choice of shredded cheese until it’s well distributed throughout the mixture.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, Greek yogurt, and olive oil until smooth. If you’re using an egg, whisk that in as well.
  5. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined—be careful not to over-mix!
  6. Scoop heaping tablespoons of the mixture onto your prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the biscuits turn golden brown.
  8. Allow the biscuits to cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving.

Notes

For gluten-free options, substitute whole wheat flour with a gluten-free flour blend. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
