  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and generously grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until combined.
  3. In another bowl, combine the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract, mixing until blended.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined; don’t overmix!
  5. Spread the batter evenly across the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden and fluffy.
  7. Let cool slightly before cutting into squares. Serve with your favorite toppings.
