Tater Tot Sausage Breakfast Casserole

A hearty and comforting casserole featuring tater tots, savory sausage, and melty cheddar cheese, perfect for brunch or family gatherings.

  • 1 pound sausage
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag (32 oz) tater tots
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and crumbly, then drain excess fat.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, garlic, onion, and black pepper.
  4. Grease a casserole dish and layer tater tots evenly across the bottom.
  5. Add the cooked sausage on top of the tater tots, then sprinkle cheddar cheese over it.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the layered ingredients, ensuring everything is well coated.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving and enjoy!

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days. Freeze individual portions for longer storage. Reheat in the microwave or a 350°F oven.
