Cottage Cheese Air Fryer Grilled Cheese

A protein-packed twist on the classic grilled cheese, featuring creamy cottage cheese and melty cheddar, perfect for a quick lunch or snack.

  • 2 slices whole wheat bread
  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Spread the cottage cheese evenly on one slice of bread.
  3. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the cottage cheese.
  4. Place the second slice of bread on top.
  5. Lightly butter the outer sides of the sandwich for a richer flavor, if desired.
  6. Place the sandwich in the air fryer basket.
  7. Cook for 5-6 minutes, flipping halfway through until the sandwich is golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crispiness, add a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese on the outside before air frying. Feel free to use your favorite bread variety.
