Banana Oatmeal Bars

Wholesome and delicious Banana Oatmeal Bars made with ripe bananas and rolled oats, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 cup nut butter (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips or nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Stir in the rolled oats and cinnamon until well combined.
  4. If desired, add honey or maple syrup along with nut butter.
  5. Mix everything thoroughly until well blended.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips or nuts, if desired.
  7. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the edges turn golden brown.
  9. Allow the bars to cool before slicing them into squares.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or in the fridge for up to a week. Freeze for up to three months.
