Biscuit & Gravy Breakfast Bowls

A comforting blend of fluffy biscuits, creamy sausage gravy, and fluffy eggs for a hearty breakfast experience.

  • 16 oz breakfast turkey sausage
  • 5 jumbo biscuits (Grands Southern Homestyle Biscuits recommended)
  • 1 ¼ tablespoons butter
  • 2 ½ tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 ¼ cups fat-free milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 ¼ cups liquid egg whites
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Arrange 5 oven-safe containers on a baking sheet and lightly spray them with cooking spray.
  2. Cut each biscuit into quarters and place pieces from one biscuit into each container.
  3. Cook the turkey sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat until fully browned and no longer pink. Drain excess grease and set aside.
  4. Melt the butter in the same skillet over medium heat. Whisk in the flour until thick and clumpy.
  5. Whisk in the milk gradually until the mixture turns smooth. Continue cooking and whisking until the gravy thickens.
  6. Remove from heat and mix in the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cooked sausage.
  7. Whisk together the egg whites, whole eggs, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  8. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the biscuits in each container, then spoon the sausage gravy on top.
  9. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the eggs are fully set and the biscuits are golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool before covering and refrigerating. Reheat in the microwave for 2–3 minutes when you’re ready to eat.

Notes

Serve these bowls with chopped chives or a sprinkle of paprika. Great with fresh fruit or juice.
