Classic Greek Yogurt Breakfast Biscuits

Deliciously tender biscuits made with Greek yogurt, perfect for a quick breakfast.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Mix well to ensure everything is evenly distributed.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, milk, melted butter, and egg until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined; be careful not to overmix!
  5. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead gently a few times until it comes together.
  6. Roll out the dough to about 1-inch thickness. Use a cookie cutter to cut out biscuits.
  7. Arrange the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until they are golden brown on top.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For added flavor, mix in lemon zest or herbs, and consider using flavored Greek yogurt.
