Ingredients
Scale
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
1/2 cup almond milk
1 pound turkey sausage
2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Mix together the whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
Blend Greek yogurt and almond milk until smooth. Add this mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.
Roll out the dough to about 1 inch thick on a floured surface. Cut into biscuits of your preferred size and place them on a baking sheet.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until they’re golden brown on top.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and brown the turkey sausage until fully cooked.
Combine the cornstarch with chicken broth until smooth. Pour this mixture into the skillet with the cooked sausage. Stir continuously, allowing the gravy to thicken.
Serve the biscuits warm topped with the hearty sausage gravy.
Notes
Store leftovers in airtight containers and reheat biscuits in the oven for best results.
