Protein Biscuits

Warm, fluffy biscuits packed with protein, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled sausage or bacon (optional)
  • 1/2 cup diced vegetables (like bell peppers or spinach)
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl until well combined.
  3. Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut in the butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the shredded cheese, cooked sausage or bacon (if using), and diced vegetables until evenly distributed.
  5. Pour in the milk and mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, ensuring there’s space between each.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and fragrant.
  8. Allow them to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
