Savory Breakfast Pop-Tarts

A delightful twist on the classic sweet treat, these savory breakfast pop-tarts are filled with cheesy goodness and breakfast meat, making them perfect for busy mornings.

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup flour (whole wheat or all-purpose)
  • 1 egg
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup cheese (shredded)
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled breakfast sausage or ham
  • Optional: herbs and spices (e.g., garlic powder, onion powder)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix together the Greek yogurt, flour, and egg in a bowl until a soft dough forms.
  3. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to approximately 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Cut the dough into rectangles and spread your filling—cheese and meat—on half of the rectangles.
  5. Fold the other half over the filling, pressing the edges to seal securely.
  6. Arrange the sealed pop-tarts on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown.
  8. Let them cool slightly before enjoying.
